Minersville Bridge and Honan Avenue

Work on replacing the Minersville Bridge continues....

Along with taking some shots of the bridge I also planned on riding up to Hinckston - via Honan Avenue - the way we always went when I was little.
It's been closed for years and it's been years since I was up this way. So I was looking forward to it.
This whole beginning section looks like it came straight out of the program that used to be on the History Channel (before it started all that reality crap) - called oddly enough...'Life without People'.

After getting chased by the rain twice today. Decided to turn around and head back home. The dam will have to wait for another day.

How about we find a way to finish Route 219 or make Route 56 a real road in and out of the city. Its a disgrace!

Brian - If we had Bud Shuster in our area, these roads would have been done the right way...

You can only go so far on this road. Once you get were Rosedale used to be there is a big beaver dam on the left hand side. The road is not even a road from there all the way up to the waterfall. It is a dirt path and nothing but puddles. I live in Middle Taylor and if you do not have a quad, dirt bike, or truck that you do not mind getting mudding and wet with then I would not recommend going back this way. It is even hard to walk because the puddles are so big you can go swimming in them.
