The Point


Today's post is all about the things you pass by all the time and haven't given much thought to in years and can't remember why they are there in the first place.
Erected by the Conemaugh Valley School Children to commemorate Flood Prevention from these rivers - Dedicated to the Flood Correspondents Association of the Flood of 1889 on the Fifty-First Anniversary - May 31, 1940.
PHMC Marker - Johnstown Flood Control Project - 1938 to 1943
And here is the other one along Washington Street.

Great post. I'm definitely guilty of not paying any attention to this stuff until the Stone Bridge Project was completed.
