Roller Skating is Alive and Well

Roller Skating is alive and well around here. Spent a great Saturday Night at the Community Center in Hooversville where once a week - they open the place up to skaters from all around the area. But first - before I start talk about skating....
Had supper at Lamonica's Restaurant and Bar along Old Somerset Pike in Boswell.
Got the large order of Gnocchi for only $8.95 and it came with a choice of soup or salad...
I chose the Italian Wedding soup - one of my favorites along with all the bread you can eat.
Finished it all off with a large piece of strawberry cake. I have to say I am no food critic - but the prices are family-friendly, the food is delicious, the waitresses were great and the service was fast. It's a place we'll go back to again - I can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu.
The Hooversville Community Center hosts Roller Skating every Saturday from 6:30pm to 9pm.
It's $2 to get in and $2 to rent skates.
The whole place brought back memories of Roseland for me.
It was RJ's first time skating and he loved it!
He wants to go back again.
They even have a disco ball.
Here is a quick look - as you can see - they had a very nice crowd - enjoying themselves on a Saturday Night in Hooversville.

Had no idea this place existed, but it looks like fun! Loved Skateland as a kid.

But I really love the sign by the skate rental window saying "Respect begins with you." Awesome!
