January 22, 1947: Diary of a Johnstown Housewife

From the diary of Mrs. Elizabeth Oldham of Moxham
Wednesday - January 22, 1947
The pipes was froze up in the bath room and George & Harry thawed them up and rapped the pipes with wool.
Sara Lee Weekland was - here a while. Helen went home to Pgh. and George stayed home.

I wonder how they thawed the pipes. That's the first time I've heard of wrapping pipes with wool.

I am enjoying this quite a bit.
